AMP has merged with AXA Asia Pacific Holdings (AXA APH) the parent company of AXAGI who is the Tūhoe investment manager. This merger brings together two of Australia’s longest standing businesses, creating a competitive new force in financial services sector. Funds now managed by the merged company is in excess of A$130 billion. AMP Capital and AXAGI (the investment divisions) will work closer in the coming months to deliver greater service to Tūhoe.

The Investment Manager is responsible for:

  • Managing the assets in the Financial Portfolio in accordance with the policy guidelines and objectives expressed herein.

  • Selecting sub-managers and securities within each asset class, subject to the constraints imposed herein and by any applicable legislation.

  • Supplying investment reports to the Investment Committee and Trustees as required and on a quarterly basis.

  • Participating with the Trustees in an annual review of the SIPO.

  • Advising the Investment Committee and Trustees on any matter relating to its investment philosophy, process and the Financial Portfolio as reasonably required. 

The Financial Portfolio

The Financial Portfolio is defined as the assets which are at any relevant time managed for the Tuhoe Trust by an Investment Manager. The Trust Fund is diversified across a range of assets classes (cash, bonds, property, commodity index, equities, etc) to achieve a well diversified portfolio that provides a minimum investment real (inflation adjusted) rate of return of at least 5% per annum (after tax and expenses) over rolling eight-year period.
