Stormwater

Typically storm water is collected through gutters and complex town infrastructure maintained through ratepayer levies.  The town drainage system receives the untreated excess water where it is then fed directly to a river, lake or ocean outlet.  A more responsible solution that would respect our immediate environment was necessary for Tūhoe.  A storm water pond was constructed with a soakage hole creating a more natural and environmentally respectful drainage solution.
