The Waikaremoana Tribal Authority is the Tūhoe Tribal representing the Waikaremoana rohe. Our purpose is to strengthen, unify our responses and opinion for the prosperity needs of our marae-hapū and whenua of Waikaremoana. Our community enjoy a lifestyle that connects them to their marae-hapū, Te Urewera, and the developments following the Tūhoe Settlement. This is an exciting time of growth for Waikaremoana whārua and whānau, We have the following opportunities within our team and welcome your interest: 

WAIKAREMOANA WHĀNAU SUPPORT [FIXED TERM, PART TIME]

This is an opportunity for someone who has broad insight of the social and wellbeing needs of Waikaremoana whānau. You will be passionate about making a difference in the community and the lives of whānau, including tamariki and taiohi. You naturally focus on solutions rather than problems to encourage whānau to move forward independently. This is a two year fixed term, three full days per week, based at Te Kura Whenua, the Waikaremoana Tribal Office in Te Urewera.

waikaremoana research communications advisor [PART TIME]

We are looking for a junior researcher who has an eye for detail, the ability to gather and transfer information for our audience and can get on well with a range of people. You will also be a creative storyteller, know your way around communications plan and enjoy variety. This is a part-time role, working four full days per week for an experienced person, based at Te Kura Whenua, the Waikaremoana Tribal Office in Te Urewera.

waikaremoana Community activator [part time]

This is an opportunity for a motivated person who will bring innovative ideas to the team while being respectful of Tūhoe values and principles. The role needs someone who is passionate about connecting whānau to the Waikaremoana Tribal journey, is confident in their communication, planning and implementation skills and has strong community engagement experience. You naturally focus on solutions rather than problems. This is a part-time role, working four full days per week, based at Te Kura Whenua, the Waikaremoana Tribal office in Te Urewera.

TE KOMITI O RUNA GENERAL MANAGER [FULL TIME]

Te Komiti o Runa is now looking for an innovative and exceptional General Manager who can keep up the progress and development initiatives which have been aspired to in the Ruatoki annual plan. Te Komiti o Runa has the principle responsibility to raise capacity, capability and wellbeing of Ruatoki hapū and whānau, bringing prosperity and quality infrastructure to collectively lift our Ruatoki wharua. Tūhoe Taraipara are leading priorities for change and vibrancy to its hapori. 

The anticipated General Manager must inspire confidence and champion the progress by leading the development of the operational infrastructure, these things expressed in our Ruatoki spatial plan; provide strategic and operational direction whilst transporting together a dynamic team.

The General Manager will be smart, politic, can carry and juggle a heavy workload, fiscally expert and a respecter of Tūhoe tikana. A high level of leadership judgement and decision making is required. If you are excited by this opportunity we want to hear from you.
