Be part of the wider Ōnukurani Team working collectively to implement the annual priorities set out by the Te Urewera Board. These priorities are implemented through biodiversity, biosecurity, the managment and maintenance of structures and the hosting of manuhiri.

waikaremoana coordinator (full time, permanent)

We now require a Waikaremoana Coordinator to provide a key support in the achievement of annual priorities and operational goals through administrative services for the Waikaremoana based team. Proven experience in office administration, establishing and maintaining databases with an intermediate level of capability using Microsoft applications is crucial to this role.

team member experience (5 months, casual)

We are looking for two Team Member Experience to deliver front-line care of manuhiri, enabling a Tūhoe hosting experience in Waikaremoana. This role requires someone who has knowledge and understanding of Te Urewera. Proven experience with using radio systems, maps, compasses and GPS systems is required.

Reporting to the Team Lead Experience, the Hut Warden will be the primary mānai to communicate our biodiversity priorities and Te Urewera standards with our manuhiri and whānau alike. You will be required to live in and operate from the host quarters in one or more of the huts on the Waikaremoana Great Walk. Local knowledge and understanding of Te Kawa o Te Urewera is preferred.
