Te Kawa o Te Urewera Draft Submissions

For two years, Te Urewera Board has been working on Te Kawa o Te Urewera. During this time they have engaged a myriad of perspectives from people wanting to reconnect with Te Urewera. In May 2017 Te Urewera Board published the draft Te Kawa o Te Urewera and invited individuals and organisations to make a submission on the draft.

35 written submissions were received, and two days of Hearings were held. There were 25 submissions in strong support; 5 opposed; 5 neutral. The Board has read all submissions in equal regard and on the basis of these has made changes to Te Kawa o Te Urewera.
