Te Papa (nee Rangiaho) Olive Mona

Aged 75 years, passed away at her home in Hastings on 17th November 2010.  A much loved mother, kuia and friend.  Wife of John Tipoki Te Papa (deceased), mother of Awhina Rangiaho, Jack Tiwa, Elizabeth Rihi, Fred (deceased), Raymond Tumarae, Les Chris (deceased), Jimmy Dean, Albert Toto, and Julia Ellen.  Sister to Ngatapa Waititi, Te Kurapa Rangiaho (deceased), John Kereru Rangiaho, William Tu Te Rangi Katipu Rangiaho (deceased) and nga tamariki o Koherangi Tiopira me Beljum Collins.  Whangai sister to Mona Te Haukamou (deceased), Robin Paruru, Sonny Takao (deceased), James Peneha-Kokiri (deceased), Jane Waikato, and Hilda Matenga who were raised at Tahimuti, Aitanga Mahaki.
Olive wil lie at Maromahue Marae, Waiotahe, Opotiki.  The nehu is at 10.00am, Saturday 21st November 2010. She will be buried at Nohorangi Urupa, Waiotahe.  Moe mai e te whaea, e te kuia.  E kore koe e warewaretia.

Te Kari Hauwaho

Suddenly taken in his 42nd year. 
Beloved partner of Arahia Whioke, loved father of Kaya Keepa, loving son of Ponti and Rangitakohe Hauwaho. 
He will be sadly missed by all his whanau. 
 
Te Kari is lying at Ngāhina Marae, Rūātoki until his Funeral service on Wednesday June 2.
 
Nō reira e te tama hoki atu ki ngā whetu o te rangi, hoki atu ki ō Mātua Tīpuna, takoto, takoto, takoto mai ra.

A tribute to a great leader - William Henry Waiparera Bird

Tūhoe conveys their condolences to the whānau of William Bird, a great leader of the Ngāti Manawa tribe. Tūhoe witnessed and acknowledges his vision and strong leadership for his people. In the words of his paepae, he was their Rangatira, he was their Ariki.
 
No reira hei te rangatira, hei te Ariki, hei te manawa ō Ngāti Manawa, hoki atu ki ngā whetu o te rangi, hoki atu ki ō Mātua Tipuna, takoto, takoto, takoto mai ra.
