Tūhoe - Te Uru Taumatua Board is responsible for the stewardship of a significant investment portfolio. Its mission is to act in the long-term interests of and for the benefit of Tuhoe through prudent management of the Tūhoe Trust Fund.   

 

During the establishment phase we concentrated on developing best practice investment management and governance processes, thereby providing Tūhoe with the necessary confidence that the portfolio is being managed in their best longer-term interests. An independent advisory committee is responsible to Te Uru Taumatua Board for the day to day over-sight of the Tūhoe Trust Fund, therefore we have enlisted the expertise of a world-class Investment Committee to provide advice on the Trust Fund.

The Investment Committee has developed a Statement of Investment Policies and Objectives (SIPO) which sets out the roles, functions, objectives, asset allocation and strategies of the Trust. The SIPO took effect from 1 June 2010 and is reviewed annually.
