TFCT: Vision for the Future

Tuhoe Fisheries Charitable Trust.

One of the Trustees' first priorities was setting a clear long-term direction. We are pleased to report that the Trustees completed the TFCT's five-year Strategic Plan in February 2008.

The Trust's vision is, "Tuhoe Mana Motuhake - Mo Ake Tonu: Our potential is realised, our leadership unified, and our prosperity and identity as Tuhoe is strengthened". Our mission is to, "Protect, grow & utilise Tuhoe fisheries assets for the benefit of current and future generations".

As part of these high-level outcomes, we set five strategic priorities.

These are to:

  1. provide good governance;

  2. manage & grow our assets;

  3. maximise benefits for Tuhoe;

  4. engage our Tuhoe nation;and

  5. work well with others.

     Detailed actions of how these are to be achieved are outlined in the Annual Plan, approved in April 2008.
