Charitable Grants Purposes
To assist with holding wananga - forums which maintain, develop and disseminate Matauranga Tuhoe – Tuhoe knowledge, in terms of reo and tikanga, among Tuhoe people.
To help Tuhoe marae meet the costs of marae insurance, from which a subsidy of $500 per marae is available.
You do not have to make an application for this grant, however marae will be reimbursed upon submitting a receipt. (Note: Marae must supply receipt to the TFCT and will be reimbursed upon receipt)
Kaumatua Grants to be shared between the oldest 100 members on the Tuhoe Fisheries Charitable Trust register of members, as of the 17 June 2011.
You do not have to make an application for this grant. We will write to eligible kaumatua directly.
Recognising excellence achievement and perseverance in either education or sport by any Tuhoe person, limited to a maximum of five recipients in any one year.
